The Center promotes the well being of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender communities.
- To serve as a sanctuary for all GLBT people.
- To provide programs and services that empower, educate, and entertain the GLBT community, and to strengthen the intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual well-being of GLBT people through these programs and services.
- To build strategic alliances for the purpose of increasing influence, improving effusiveness, and strengthening relationships between the GLBT community and the broader public.
- To celebrate our differences by fighting discrimination, inequality, oppression, and injustice.
The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Community Center of Central Florida has been in operation for over 32 years. GLBT individuals, family and friends, in Central Florida have stood up to both institutional and individual injustice and discrimination by volunteering their time, money and talents at The Center.
The Center is primarily ran by our dedicated volunteers, staff and board of directors. Volunteers run the front desk, assist the Executive Director and Coordinator, perform HIV counseling, participate in fundraisers and development, perform maintenance and housekeeping, and more.
